Leanne Betasamosake Simpson is a renowned Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg musician, writer and academic. She is the author of eight books, including A Short History of the Blockade and the novel Noopiming: The Cure for White Ladies which was short listed for the Governor General’s Literary Award for fiction and the Dublin Literary Prize. Her collaboration with Robyn Maynard, Rehearsals for Living is a National Best Seller and was short listed for the Governor General’s Literary Award for non-fiction. Leanne is also a musician.
Her latest release Theory of Ice was named to the Polaris Prize short list, and she is the 2021 winner of the Prism Prize’s Willie Dunn Award. Leanne’s new work, Theory of Water is a national best seller and was published in 2025 from Alchemy at Knopf Canada and Haymarket Books in the US. Leanne has lectured and taught extensively at universities across Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Europe and has over twenty years experience with Indigenous land based education. She holds a PhD from the University of Manitoba and is a member of Alderville First Nation.

By Subway
TD Music Hall is a short walk from both Dundas and Queen stations on the Yonge Line.
- From Dundas Station: Walk south on Yonge, then turn left on Shuter Street.
- From Queen Station: Walk north on Yonge, then turn right on Shuter Street.
By GO Transit or VIA Rail
From Union Station, take the Yonge subway line north to Queen Station and exit via the north platform.
Parking
TD Music Hall does not have its own parking lot, but several options are available nearby:
- Eaton Centre underground lot (entrance at Yonge & Shuter)
- Green P at 25 Dundas St. E. (at O'Keefe)
- Green P at 37 Queen St. E. (at Victoria)
Bags are discouraged and subject to security screening. Bags larger than 14" x 14" x 6" are not permitted.
Located on the 4th floor of Allied Music Centre, TD Music Hall is fully accessible and committed to providing an inclusive experience for all guests. Elevator access and accessible washrooms are available via the main entrance at 178 Victoria Street.

Coat check is conveniently located on the 4th floor, just steps from the elevator and directly outside the entrance to TD Music Hall.

All tickets are delivered digitally. You’ll receive two emails:

- A PDF ticket email (check your spam/junk folder)
Choose Print-at-Home or Mobile Delivery and present your ticket on your phone or as a printed copy at the venue.
What is a mobile ticket? Tickets are delivered digitally and scanned from your mobile device for a seamless, contactless experience.
